Major achievements of the ICT Department in recent years (3 years):


The main objective of Digital Bangladesh Construction (RS-2021) announced by the Hon'ble Prime Minister of the People's Republic of Bangladesh is to make Bangladesh as a middle-income country based on knowledge and information technology by 2021. For this purpose, the Directorate of Information and Communication Technology was constituted under the Information and Communication Technology Department on July 6, 2009 to utilize information and communication technology at all district, upazila and union level, to ensure network connectivity expansion and application at the field level, to coordinate and develop sustainable. . The Department of Information and Communication Technology has been working to reach the people's doorsteps in an electronic manner by ensuring coordination and sustainable development of information and communication technologies at all district, upazila and union level with the cooperation of all concerned in achieving the department's goals. Meanwhile, five district offices and five upazila offices have been set up at the district and upazila level. On 8/21/21, the 8th grade ICT officers were posted at the district and upazila offices, including the headquarters of the department. Six officers have joined. Under the project "Establishment of Computer and Language Training Labs in Educational Institutions" in the financial year, a total of 5 Sheikh Russell Digital Labs (Computer Labs) have been completed in five educational institutes including five language education labs in Panchagarh district. Three Sheikh Russell Digital Classrooms have been set up in 4 primary schools. In addition, three new and Sheikh Russell digital labs have been set up in the project in the financial year.
